Training Guide
Everything you need to get campaigns live and performing.
Getting started
Complete your profile
Go to Profile and set your company name, brand colors, and logo. These are injected into every generated page — get them right before you generate anything.
Set your handle
Your handle is the URL slug for all your live pages (e.g. dayclerk.com/your-handle/c/…). It auto-generates from your company name but you can change it in Profile.
Create your first campaign
Head to New campaign. Fill in the brief — name, campaign type, product, objective, and audience — then proceed to simulation.
Campaigns
A campaign is the top-level container. Each one has a brief, an audience simulation, and generated assets (landing page, email copy, social copy).
| Type | Best for | Available on |
|---|---|---|
| Brand Awareness | Building recognition, telling your story | All plans |
| Lead Generation | Capturing emails, growing a list | Growth+ |
| Retail / Product | Showcasing products, driving purchases | Growth+ |
| Affiliate | Content creator product pages | Pro+ |
You can have multiple campaigns running at once (limits depend on your plan). Each campaign is independent — different brief, different simulation, different pages.
Audience simulation
Simulation is the step that makes DayClerk different. Before generating any content, we model how each audience segment thinks — their motivators, friction points, objections, and preferred content style.
Add audience segments
Segments represent distinct customer groups (e.g. "Budget-conscious SMB owner", "Agency creative director"). Growth users get up to 3, Pro gets 7, Agency gets 10. Explorer gets the Default segment.
Upload supporting documents (optional)
Upload PDFs — your product one-pager, customer research, competitive analysis. The AI reads them and incorporates specific details into the simulation. The more context, the sharper the output.
Run the simulation
Click "Run simulation." This takes 30–90 seconds. You'll see results organized by tab: Segment overview, Mental model, Behavior paths, Friction points, Content signals, Conversion triggers, and Drop-off risks.
Read the results
Each tab is a lens on how that segment thinks. Pay particular attention to Friction and Content signals — these directly inform what the AI writes on your landing page.
AI generation
After simulation, the AI generates your campaign assets. What gets generated depends on your plan.
| Asset | Description | Available on |
|---|---|---|
| Landing page | Fully designed, segmented page with your brand | All plans |
| Email copy | 3–5 segment-specific emails per campaign | Growth+ |
| Social copy | Platform-specific copy for 3 channels | Pro+ |
Review in the editor
After generation, open the landing page editor. You can click any module to edit copy, swap images, reorder sections, or regenerate individual elements.
Switch between segments
Each audience segment gets its own version of the page. Use the segment tabs in the editor to compare and fine-tune each one independently.
Publishing
Publish from the campaign detail page
Open a campaign, find the landing page card, and click Publish. The page goes live immediately at your campaign URL.
Your live URL
Format: dayclerk.com/{handle}/c/{slug}. Share this link directly — no domain setup needed.
Unpublish at any time
Change status back to Draft from the campaign page. The URL returns a 404 immediately.
Analytics
DayClerk tracks three native metrics per published landing page — no GA4 required.
Views
Total page loads since publication
CTA clicks
Clicks on buttons/links (session-deduped per module)
Email sign-ups
Form submissions collected by the platform
GA4 (Pro+) — Connect your GA4 Measurement ID in Profile → Analytics. Each published page automatically fires pageview and conversion events to your property.
Daily Briefings (Growth+) — Enable in Profile → Daily Briefings. You'll receive an 8am email with the previous day's views, clicks, and sign-ups across all published campaigns.
FAQ
Can I edit the generated content?
Yes — the editor lets you click any text or module to edit it directly. Changes save automatically. You can also regenerate the full page if you want a fresh take.
What happens if I run out of simulation credits?
You'll see a usage banner at the top of the app. Explorer and Growth credits reset monthly. Upgrade your plan or wait for the reset.
Can I use my own domain?
Custom domains are on the roadmap. For now, all pages are hosted at dayclerk.com/{handle}/c/{slug}.
How do I export my emails?
Open any email, click the download icon on the email card, and choose HTML export or copy the plain text. You can also export all emails as a ZIP.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your campaign briefs, documents, and generated content are tied to your account and never shared or used to train models.
How do I cancel or change my plan?
Use the contact form at dayclerk.com/contact and we'll handle it same day.
